Lawn Lighthouse Plans

The cost of materials to build the majority of these lighthouses is less than $100. Most can be constructed from one sheet of plywood. Some may require an additional half sheet. For a painted lighthouse, MDO plywood is recommended. While any exterior 3/4” exterior plywood can be used, MDO is a high quality signboard that comes with a resin backing, more layers, and can be purchased with primer on one or both sides. Ask for it at your local home improvement store.
The angles are always a challenge when making the sides of a lawn lighthouse. A table saw can be used if you have the skills, but a circular saw works best as long as you use a straightedge and set the blade-tilt per the plans.
